L’hôtel de Toiras

The comfort of a luxurious hotel

The Hôtel de Toiras is exceptionally well located at the entrance to the port of Saint Martin de Ré, in a resort like seating, the historical capital of the Île de Ré. The façades, typical of the old Île de Ré residences subjected to the forces of the Atlantic Ocean for nearly four centuries, make the hotel an integral part of the activities and life of this harbour town and endow it with great natural charm. The Hôtel de Toiras harmoniously combines the traditions of Charente with the comfort of a luxurious hotel.

The decoration and interior layout of the Hôtel de Toiras were designed by Mr Pierre-Yves ROCHON. Olivia Le Calvez has also surrounded herself with the best craftsmen in order to highlight the History of the Ile de Ré and the Poitou-Charentes Region. We can mention: Taillardat, Bronze of French Art, regional antique dealers, … The choice of fabrics was made among the greatest furnishing houses such as: Pierre Frey, Canovas, Brunschwig, Ralph Lauren… It was a question of reviving a ship owner’s house of the 17th century, located at the entrance of the port of Saint-Martin-de-Ré, as an invitation to travel. Olivia Le Calvez set about reviving great historical figures, artists and explorers through fabrics, atmospheres, colours, antique furniture, patinas,… that will transport you into a warm and cosy atmosphere.
